Nearing the end

The semester is coming to a close soon. I'm going to send my final evaluation form to you tomorrow. My semester officially ends next Thursday.

As for the room. I'm working hard at making the walls and floor look less tiled. I'm looking into material settings and decals to pull this off. Hopefully it'll look better when I'm done. So the walls and floors are the same right now. I did touch up some of the normal and specular on them. I placed in some light sources and I'm going to try and take your advice on the broken pipes. Busy, busy, week!!!

Back to work. In the meantime this is where I am.

  1. I gotta say that the scene is really starting to come together now. Personally I would have the lights a different color.. but that's just my opinion. You could try putting covers on them to give the light a variation. Overall, I think the lighting is a little flat atm and it needs much more contrast. Make your darks darkers and your brights brighter. In the end I would also try saturating your textures a little more as well. It will really make it all punch. You really gotta get a frame on the doorway too. I would try and make some wires or cords hanging from the pipes as well. It will really help with the vertical element and make the eye travel around the scene a little more. Something like that shouldn't take you too long. Put some posters on the wall... especially in the cage with the breakers. You also need some dirt around the pipes as they come out of the wall. Maybe put a hole there or something... you can use decals for that. I would try and make a smaller bracket for the ends of the pipes too.. it will give it a more constructed feel. Try and make the scene as real as possible, with regards to the construction. You also need some wires for the lights too. Typically with a brick wall like that, the wires are always on the exterior. I know your working on breaking up the wall and floor texture with decals... and that will really help. Keep on filling up the room. It's gonna look awesome once its done. Well, thats my ramble. I will get the final evaluation to you before next thurs fer sure. Take it easy
